We will be learning songs and poems about the letter X. As well as, winter fun songs and poems. There will be a song about days of the week, in English and in Spanish. Among other fun and educational songs!

The winter sessions starts December 2nd and runs through March 2nd. There will be no classes December 23rd or December 30th. The winters session is 12 weeks for $60, making the class $5 a class. The session is prorated up to the 6th week.

What the latest research says about the benefits of music:

In the past, experts considered first words to be the first real stage of language development. Babbling or repetition of sounds was thought to be an exercise for the vocal cords. Language experts now know that language acquisition begins long before your baby utters his first word. When you sing to your baby, he is not only more interested in what you're saying, but he can more easily interpret your mood. Both of these increase his language development, by encouraging his brain to make connections between sounds, moods and meanings.

“Snowman, Snowman” (Twinkle, Twinkle)

Snowman, (rain down, point to head and chest) snowman, where did you go?

I built you yesterday out of snow. (rain down)

I built you high (hand flat at top of head) and I built you fat (arms round around middle)

I put on eyes (point to eye) and nose (point to nose) and a hat. (pat top of head)

And now you’re gone, all melted away.

But it’s sunny outside, so I’ll go and play. (thumb and pinky, both hands, shake)

Music and motion nurture a child’s language and social-emotional and physical development, while providing a fun and educational activity for children and parents.

Language/Intellectual

Additional Information
*Parents accompany children and participate with them
*Parents are responsible for their child’s behavior
*Only parent/guardian may accompany child
*Available for ages newborn to four
*Cost will be $8 per family/session
*Punch card of four sessions for $28, not consecutive weeks
*Session Passes are 12 weeks for $60, that's $5 per class!
*Class will be held Fridays from 9:30-10:15
*In case of Olathe School District closing due to inclement weather, we will be closed
